Hazmat
Labeling, integrated with Hazox’s Environmental Management System,
provides the capability of dynamically creating Hazardous Material
labels for manufacturers or distributors of chemical products.
Extensive
Label Design Functions
Label specifications may be defined that include label type, size and
contents. Specifications include the format for each section of the
label and font for each data field to be printed. Contents of a label
may be defined as either standard phrases, chemical hazards, or
order/shipping information such as order number, line items, product and
various order-related elements can be entered from an interface with
existing receiving/order entry systems, or manually at the printing
workstation. Labels of various sizes and formats can be designed for
different purposes ranging from large drums or containers down to small
samples or test kits.
Windows
Editing Features
These features include the ability to view graphics on your screen, zoom
and page to desired sections of the label, and print. Cut and Paste
functions also apply. Additional editing functions allow you to add
system fields and standard phrases.
Integrated
Database
The heart of the Hazmat Labeling application is a database that
integrates Hazox's MSDS and Chemical Information records with receiving
or customer shipping records. For customers who use the Hazox MSDS
creations systems, changes to MSDS information can be automatically
reflected in the labels. Labels are formatted dynamically based on order
or receiving information.
Support
for a Wide Variety of Printers
Once the label has been prepared, the system routes to printers
designated by the user. Current investment in printers can usually be
protected, because the Hazmat Labeling application is designed to
support a wide variety of printers, including dot matrix, laser, and
thermal transfer.
Detailed
Customer History
All shipping records are recorded in a history file. Facilities are
included to view and print shipping and label history. Used by Customer
Service or Quality Assurance, this feature can help identify old
shipments or respond to customer inquiries.
