The heart of the transportation application is a database containing basic information about each chemical, with an unlimited capacity for user-defined data elements. This information is required for compliance tracking and reporting, and includes CAS Number, UN Number, designations for mixtures, components and trade secrets, specific gravity, transportation, hazard class and mixture/component keys.
Item master or recipe numbers from your inventory system can be cross-referenced to chemical names for compliance tracking and reporting usage by location or work center.
Hazox can incorporate the appropriate transportation database to apply to shipping requirements of Dangerous Goods. These include data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Department of Transportation (DOT). Working in conjunction with stock numbers or product identifiers, these data can provide the required shipping information once classification has been made.
The system is capable of generating HazMat labels that provide the appropriate shipping data. The label can be designed by the user for either internal or for shipping requirements. Likewise, an editor exists for preparing documents or reports that are user-defined.
